Brenda Lees

President

Brenda got her first horse when she was in the 4th grade and hasn't looked back to a time she hasn’t been involved in the equine industry. Graduating from UT with a Medical Technology degree in 1985, she retired from the Oncology field in 2017.

She got her feet wet in the rescue world with Volunteer Equine Advocates, where she wore every hat from intake to adoption. From there she served as the Middle TN Equine agent for Horse Haven of TN, and is currently on the advisory board for another East TN rescue. In 2011, she enrolled in the Code 3 Equine Cruelty training program through University of MO and Colorado State and graduated as a Level 2 Equine Cruelty Investigator. She recently received her equine master certification through University of TN. Her passion is being involved with seizures and rehabilitation.

Her rescue doesn’t stop with horses, and she routinely fosters puppies! She has been married for 37 years and has 2 beautiful daughters, several horses and donkeys, and a couple of cats. She feels she is blessed to be able to do what she loves.
